VGZ Health Insurer

With over 2.1 million policyholders, VGZ is one of the largest non-profit health insurers in the Netherlands. VGZ is part of Coöperatie VGZ. This cooperative administers health insurance for various brands, including VGZ. In total, the cooperative insures more than 4 million customers.

The challenge

From VGZ, many contracts are drawn up, sent and signed between health insurers and suppliers. This is often a time-consuming process because many man-hours are required both in drawing up the contract and then having it physically signed. VGZ has set itself the goal of implementing a high degree of business efficiency within the organization and therefore wanted to optimize the contracting of suppliers.

The solution

Using the Zynyo Signing Service, contracts are created in a document generator application and from there e-mail requests with their own formatting are sent to suppliers. The e-mail contains a button to a secure web environment of Zynyo. Here the contract can be viewed and, upon approval, signed with the chosen authentication means (e.g. SMS-TAN or iDIN). The health insurer and supplier both receive a copy of the signed document, eliminating the need for copying and mailing. Employees can work more efficiently as administrative tasks are reduced by many hours per week.
