Yivi

Yivi is available through a free app in which users can compile their own "passport," also known as a digital identity, with personal attributes, such as first name, last name, home address, e-mail address(es), date of birth, phone number(s), bank account(s), BSN, medical BIG/AGB registrations, student registrations, etc.

Authentication with Yivi works with attributes (personal properties). As a user, you can collect these yourself in the Yivi app, from various reliable sources. For example, Yivi has a link to the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP), so (part of) the official data the government has can be placed in the Yivi app.

With that, you can then, advanced, authenticate yourself to sign a document. To reveal those attributes, you need to scan a QR code with your phone, and in the Yivi app, you give permission to reveal the requested attributes.

 

 

The Yivi app stands for I Reveal My Attributes. The Yivi app allows users an easy and secure way to log in online, identify themselves, give consents and sign. The free Yivi app allows users to retrieve identity attributes themselves via their smartphone and share only the necessary attributes with or show them to parties who want to know something about them. The personal data is only on their own smartphone and is not managed anywhere in the cloud. With Yivi, everyone manages their own digital ID documents, just as we do with a physical passport and driver's license. This approach is also called Self-Sovereign Identity(SSI): only you decide when and with whom you share personal data.
