Zynyo is an iDIN Digital Identity Service Provider

9 February 2021

Zynyo may now call itself Digital Identity Service Provider (DISP). Zynyo is hereby authorised by Currence as a contracting party to offer its clients the possibility to integrate the identification service iDIN on their website.

Zynyo is an iDIN Digital Identity Service Provider

With this, Zynyo takes another step in its strategy to make the best identification services available to customers in the best possible way. This service can be widely deployed for multiple operations: Identification, login, age verification and digital signing.

Those in a regulated industry offering customers digital transactions face complex laws and regulations. As a result of COVOD19, the need for reliable means of access has further increased. An example is the digital signing of purchase agreements by individuals where iDIN has been deployed as an eID, which is accepted by notaries. But a 'race-to-the-top' in terms of remote e-identification can also be observed in a banking environment. Thanks to certification as DISP, we can further unburden our customers with applications that require reliable identification, including digital signing. A good development, because we expect iDIN to take off in the Netherlands in the coming years.

Suren Balraadjsing, Auditor Risk at Currence, is pleased to welcome Zynyo as an iDIN Digital Identity Service Provider. "Independent DISPs, such as Zynyo, can offer innovative market propositions and thus make a meaningful contribution to the further development of iDIN as a reliable Dutch eID. This will make it increasingly easy and attractive for consumers and small businesses to use iDIN for secure, trusted and reliable online identification and thereby also facilitate digital signing. Ultimately, this leads to more societal trust in eIDs in online transactions."
